Lead Times

Prototype & Design Services

• Prototype design. Our prototype services are costed as a stand-alone service. So, if you choose to have your production circuit boards manufactured somewhere else, that is not a problem.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• Product Design & Board Layout
• Custom Test Fixture Design:  Custom designed test fixtures for circuit boards are a necessity because one-size does not fit all.  There are many advantages to having us design one for you.  Traditional nesting methods that use outer pin locations for alignment can cause problems.  The location of the pins must be perfect and tolerances of circuit boards may vary so automated equipment may not pick up the signal.
• Alternative Test Fixture Design:
• Tooling Pins Test Pods:  Test pod designs using tooling pins have many advantages over traditional pin locators.  This solution has holes designed into the board in the exact relationship to the test pin locations.  The board cannot move and it does not matter what the outside dimensions of the board are – eliminating the tolerance problem.
• Circuit Board Design. Open to new ideas about circuit board design?  Let our expertise in printed circuit board design, manufacturing, and assembly identify and suggest improvements to your printed circuit board design.  You’ll realize cost savings from an improved quality in the product’s streamlined manufacturing.
  
  Improve the manufacturing process and improve quality at the same time.  Tabtronics works with your circuit board design engineers and suggests ways to redesign your board to reduce the cost of production and improve its manufacturability. 
  
  We may identify mechanical layout changes of your circuit board so it fits our existing production equipment or make fiducial (point of origin) placement suggestions to improve the quality of the manufacturing process by improving the placement accuracy of pick and place machines.
• Depanelization:  One method does not fit all. Our manufacturing engineers take into account the best depanelization method for the manufacturing of your printed circuit boards, taking into account mechanical stress to assure the highest quality end result.

Program Management Services

• Complete Project Management
  • Full Turn-Key:  We do it all – order the parts and components, assembly, AOI inspection, test, and final shipment.
  • Partial Turn-Key:  You do whatever you are comfortable with and leave the rest to us.
• Bill of Materials Analysis.  Bad part numbers, obsolete parts, long lead times, or regulatory non-compliance, we can review your Bill of Materials to catch problem areas before they cause problems.  We identify these issues during the quoting process so you know going in what lead times are.
• Parts Availability Analysis. Identification of long lead items
• New Product Release Support.    We work with the leading suppliers every day and know what products are being phased out, or are obsolete, or have long lead times.  Let us analyze your Bill of Materials for red flags that give you information to make an informed decision about the production of your product.
• Repair Depot Services (Fixed or T&M Pricing)
• Cost reduction. Once the kinks are worked out, it is not uncommon for a price reduction to be passed on to the customer. By prepaying materials, we can vary monthly ship quantities to your schedule.
• Repair Depot Services --  As a service to our customers whose products we manufacture, we keep an inventory of all of your components and warehouse them in our facility.  Should you need future repairs, we are ready to service you on a fixed price or Time and Material  price structure.
• Bill of Materials Conversion to RoHS  – If your Bill of Materials (BOM) requires conversion to RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances), we have the expertise to review your BOM and suggest alternative parts that are RoHS compatible & lead-free.
• New Product Release Support
• Identification of Long Lead Times
• Identification of End-of-Life Components

Testing Services

Our testing philosophy is to do the minimum testing to get the maximum reliability – that not only saves you money but gives you the best results.

• Bare Board Testing
• Assembled Circuit Board Testing
• Product Burn-In
• Cable, Harness Testing
• Functional Testing -  This optional phase of functional testing is a value-added service to increase your confidence in the stability and reliability of your printed circuit boards.  It is done by actually running electronic systems.  Tabtronics can perform elevated temperature and ambient functional testing.
• Bed of Nails Testing:  This is where the functionality of the circuit board is tested. Requires custom fixturing
• Go-No-Go Testing
